BBQ bacon cheeseburger

BBQ bacon cheeseburger

Serves 4

Ingredients

Beef patties
400g mince
1 tsp smoked paprika
½ tsp cumin
1 egg
1 tbsp tomato relish or ketchup
¼ brown onion – VERY finely sliced
1 large garlic clove – minced

12 pieces of streaky bacon
8-12 slices of cheese (depending how much cheese you like)
4 brioche buns
Mayonnaise
BBQ sauce

Instructions

Mix the ingredients together for the patties. Make into four patties and set aside.

In one fry pan cook the bacon until crispy.  Slice the buns in half.

Fry the patties in a second HOT pan with oil. Season the patties well and fry for a couple of minutes on each side.

Lightly fry the brioche buns in the pan that the bacon was in cut side down. Flip the bun and put some mayo on the bottom bun, then add the cheese so it starts to melt.

Take the buns off the heat, put the bacon on top of the cheese, then a drizzle of BBQ sauce, now the cooked patty, some more cheese (if you like) more BBQ sauce and then the top bun.
